Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1023 hPa southwest of the Bight will move very slowly eastwards to be south of Kangaroo Island later on Sunday. An upper level disturbance will move continue to move across eastern parts of the State overnight. A trough of low pressure will move across the far northeast on Friday. Another trough will move across western parts of the state during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPatchy rain in the south and east contracting east during the evening. Isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms in the northwest. Possible isolated thunder over Eyre Peninsula. Mild in the south grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds in the north, ahead of a fresh and gusty southerly change extending to the far northeast. Areas of raised dust inland near the change.Friday 16 NovemberIsolated showers in the south and east and about western coasts clearing by early afternoon. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds and freshening sea breezes.Saturday 17 Novemberisolated showers about the Lower South east coast clearing by early afternoon. Possible morning fog about the Lower South East. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.Sunday 18 NovemberPossible isolated morning showers about southern coasts. Light to moderate southerly winds, turning east to northeasterly in the west during the day. Moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.Monday 19 NovemberPossible isolated showers developing in the far west late afternoon. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the west and north. Moderate southeast to northeast winds freshening in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be up to 2 mm, with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers and possible thunder extending across from the west on Tuesday and Wednesday then contracting to southern coasts on Friday. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southwest to southeast change in the west on Tuesday extending throughout on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
