Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1021 hPa southwest of the Bight will move very slowly eastwards to be south of Kangaroo Island later on Sunday. An upper level disturbance will move across the State today. A trough of low pressure will move across the north of State today and the far northeast on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPatchy rain in the south and west, extending to the remainder of the agricultural area and the southern Pastorals, then clearing from the west. Possible isolated showers further north. Possible isolated morning thunderstorms over the Nullarbor Plain. Possible isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the northwest. Mild in the south grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds in the north, ahead of a fresh and gusty southerly change extending to the far northeast during the day. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds further south. Areas of raised dust inland near the change.Friday 16 NovemberPossible isolated morning showers in the south and east, clearing from southern coasts and the agricultural area early morning and from the North East Pastoral district during the morning. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Saturday 17 NovemberFine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.Sunday 18 NovemberPossible isolated morning showers about southern coasts. Light to moderate southerly winds, turning east to northeasterly in the west during the day. Moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 2 mm, with falls of 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area.Monday until WednesdayPossible isolated showers developing in the far west late on Monday extending across the west on Tuesday and central and eastern districts on Wednesday. Generally moderate east to northeasterly winds, turning southwest to southerly from the west during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
