MELBOURNE - Nov 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak cold front will move across Tasmania and southern Victoria on Thursday and a high pressure system will develop south of the Bight. The high will remain in the Bight on Friday and Saturday with a cold front approaching southwestern Victoria late on Saturday. The cold front will weaken on Sunday as the high pressure system moves further eastwards and extends a ridge across Tasmania. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPartly cloudy.Light southerly winds with fresh afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Thursday 15 NovemberMorning fog patches over Gippsland. Cloud increasing with isolated showers developing from the west and south. Warm in the north, milder in the south with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, freshening in the south.Fire Danger - Locally high.Friday 16 NovemberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges contracting to the coast during the day. Isolated showers clearing from the northwest. Cool to mild and partly cloudy. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty about the coast.Saturday 17 NovemberIsolated showers on and south of the divide. Fine and mostly in the north. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Sunday 18 NovemberIsolated showers on and south of the divide, becoming more widespread over east Gippsland. Fine and mostly sunny in the north.
