Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends from the Bight to Bass Strait. A trough of low pressure will move across the State on Thursday, followed by a new high which will be centred south of the Bight later Thursday and on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times near the coast, tending northeast to northwesterly over the far north.Thursday 15 NovemberPatchy rain in the south, extending to the north and clearing from the south. Possible isolated morning thunderstorms over the Nullarbor Plain. Mild in the south grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds in the far north, ahead of a fresh and gusty southerly change extending to the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds further south. Areas of raised dust inland near the change.Friday 16 NovemberIsolated light morning showers about southern coasts. Possible isolated morning showers over the far northeast. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Saturday 17 NovemberFine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area.Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated morning showers about southern coasts Sunday, developing late in the far west on Monday and extending across the west on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
