Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over southwestern Victoria is moving slowly eastwards and will reach the Tasman Sea by Wednesday. Another high pressure system will develop south of the Bight as a cold front moves across Tasmania and southern Victoria on Thursday. The high will then move slowly eastwards extending a ridge across southern Victoria on Friday, followed by another cold front later Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Clear in the north, partly cloudy in the south and east. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 14 NovemberPatch fog in the south early morning. Fine apart from isolated showers about far East Gippsland. Partly cloudy in the south, mostly sunny in the north apart from some high cloud at times. Mild to Warm inland with light southerly winds, milder near the coast with freshening afternoon seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Locally high.Thursday 15 NovemberMorning fog patches over Gippsland. Cloud increasing with isolated showers developing from the west and south. Warm in the north, milder in the south with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, freshening in the south.Friday 16 NovemberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges, possibly falling as snow above 1500 metres in the morning, and contracting to the coast during the day. Isolated showers clearing from the northwest. Cool to mild and partly cloudy. Moderate south to southwest winds, fresh and gusty about the coast.Saturday 17 NovemberIsolated showers in the south, mainly about the coast. Fine and mostly sunny inland. Mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, freshening about the coast during the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Wednesday.Product IDV10310
