Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak trough extends over New South Wales with a weak high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. A more significant trough and frontal system is forecast affect the state on Thursday and Friday. Following this a high pressure ridge will begin to develop over southeastern Australia on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, with drizzle developing along the eastern slopes of the southern ranges this evening. Fine elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, tending variable in the north.Wednesday 14 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Morning drizzle along the central and southern parts of the coast, clearing during the afternoon. Fine and very warm to hot in the west. Southeast to northeast winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Fire Danger -  Very High over the North Western district.Thursday 15 NovemberCloud increasing with patchy rain developing in the south, west and central districts during the afternoon or evening. The chance of afternoon showers in the northeast. Very warm to hot in the north with strengthening northwest to northeasterly winds. Gusty south to southwesterly winds developing over the remainder.Friday 16 NovemberRain contracting to the northern half, most widespread along central parts of the coast and ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast. The chance of early showers clearing on the South Coast. Cooler southerly winds extending throughout.Saturday 17 NovemberRain in the northeast, contracting to the far north coast and eastern ranges during the day. Fine remainder. Southeast winds, tending northwesterly in the far north at first.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
