Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge over eastern New South Wales will weaken gradually by Tuesday as a weakening front and trough move across the southern and western districts overnight. The trough will move further north during Tuesday before stalling on Wednesday, generating unstable conditions in many districts. A more significant trough and frontal system look set to affect the state on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayThe chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight in the southeast. Fine elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh along the coast. A late southerly change across the south.Tuesday 13 NovemberThe chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in central and eastern parts. The chance of showers or drizzle in the southeast early, then during the evening. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Very warm in the northwest. South to southeasterly winds, tending variable in the north.Fire Danger -  Very High in Greater Hunter and NorthwesternWednesday 14 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. The chance of showers or drizzle along the central and southern parts of the coast clearing during the afternoon. Fine and very warm to hot in the west. Southeast to northeast winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Thursday 15 NovemberIsolated showers developing in the south, west and central districts during the afternoon and evening. The chance of afternoon showers in the northeast. Very warm to hot in the north with strengthening northwest to northeasterly winds. Gusty south to southwesterly winds developing over the remainder.Friday 16 NovemberIsolated showers over northern half, more likely across the central and northeastern districts with the chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast. The chance of early showers clearing on the South Coast. Cooler southerly winds extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDN10031
