MELBOURNE - Nov 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred over the New South Wales coast will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea late today, where it will it remain until mid-week. A front will move across the west of the State this afternoon or evening, reaching the northeast corner of the State by late Monday evening. A new high will become established west of the Bight during Monday, and will move southeastwards on Tuesday to be centred east of Tasmania on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayA mostly hot day with moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west and south, ahead of a fresh and gusty southwest to southerly change in the far west around midday, extending eastwards to reach central Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island late evening. Areas of raised dust over parts of Eyre Peninsula, the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts. The chance of isolated evening showers developing west of about Fowlers Bay.Monday 12 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers over areas southwest of about Tarcoola to Naracoorte, clearing before midday. Moderate northerly winds in the northeast ahead of the fresh southwest to southerly change southwest of Renmark to Coober Pedy extending northeastwards to reach Broken Hill to Oodnadatta by late evening. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the northeast.Tuesday 13 NovemberFine. Partly cloudy. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly over part of the Northeast Pastoral.Wednesday 14 NovemberFine. Partly cloudy. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly over part of the Northeast Pastoral. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 1 mm associated with the showers overnight Sunday and on Monday.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers developing on Thursday, clearing during Friday, then fine on Saturday. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds extending throughout during Thursday, then easing.
