MELBOURNE - Nov 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure creating unsettled conditions over northeast New South Wales will move to the Tasman Sea today, as a high pressure system to the west extends a ridge across the state. This high will drift eastwards during the coming days while maintaining a ridge into New South Wales, promoting fine conditions in most districts. The next significant trough and frontal system currently look set to affect the state towards the end of next week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayRain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the northeast, easing later. The chance of morning showers about the southern and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Early fog patches in the east. Fine and mostly sunny in the west. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh and gusty near the coast.Sunday 11 NovemberEarly fog patches about the coast and ranges. Isolated showers in the far northeast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 12 NovemberIsolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms in the southeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, turning southerly across the south later.Tuesday 13 NovemberIsolated morning showers or drizzle patches along the eastern slopes of the ranges. The chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Fine elsewhere.
