Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough will remain slow moving over the northeast today, while a ridge of high pressure extends across the Bight to western Victoria. A cold front will approach western Victoria later today and then move across the State early Friday. A high pressure system will then move across Victoria on Saturday, reaching the east Tasman Sea by Sunday as the next cold front approaches.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly fog patches in the northeast. Rain areas in the far northeast and east easing to showers during the morning. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms redeveloping over the east in the afternoon. Isolated showers over remaining southern and mountain districts, dry over the northwest. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Fire Danger -  Generally low to moderate.Friday 9 NovemberScattered showers over southern and mountain districts, mainly about the coast. Fine and mainly sunny in the north. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coast.Saturday 10 NovemberIsolated showers in the south, mainly about the coast and clearing during the morning. Fine and mainly sunny across the north. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 11 NovemberFine and mainly sunny throughout. Warm with light to moderate north to northeast winds and freshening afternoon seabreezes about the Gippsland and central coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDV10310
