MELBOURNE - Nov 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough will remain over eastern districts during today and Thursday as a high pressure system approaches from the west. The high will move a little further eastwards on Friday before being located over Victoria on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayRain and isolated thunderstorms in the east with local heavy falls possible over the east. Isolated showers elsewhere on and south of the ranges, dry over the northwest. Light to moderate northerly winds in the northeast, west to southwesterly elsewhere.Thursday 8 NovemberRain areas in the far northeast and east easing to showers during the morning then scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms redeveloping in the afternoon. Isolated showers over remaining southern and mountain districts, dry over the north. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Friday 9 NovemberScattered showers over southern and mountain districts, mainly about the coast. Fine and mainly sunny in the north. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coast.Saturday 10 NovemberIsolated showers in the south, mainly about the coast and clearing during the morning. Fine and mainly sunny across the north. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 11 NovemberFine and mainly sunny throughout.
