Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation

This trough is creating unsettled conditions through southern, western and central districts today, with rain and thunderstorm activity set to increase near the trough today as a cold front approaches from the Southern Ocean. The focus of activity is expected to shift towards the southeast during Thursday then the northeast on Friday as the cold front brings cooler and drier air into the state's west. A ridge of high pressure is forecast to strengthen over the region in the wake of the front, prompting a return to fine conditions in most areas by Sunday.
