MELBOURNE - Nov 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough will move slowly across the State then remain over eastern districts on Wednesday and Thursday as a high pressure system approaches from the west. The high will move a little further eastwards on Friday then be located over Victoria on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayShowers and isolated thunderstorms throughout, contracting eastwards and tending to rain overnight in the northeast. Light to moderate westerly winds.Wednesday 7 NovemberRain and isolated thunderstorms in the east with some heavy falls possible. Isolated showers elsewhere in the south, dry in the northwest. A cool to mild day, warmer in the northwest. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Fire Danger - Low to moderate.Thursday 8 NovemberRain areas in the far east easing to showers during the early morning. Isolated showers over remaining southern and mountain districts, dry over the north. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Friday 9 NovemberScattered showers over southern and mountain districts, isolated showers over the north. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.Saturday 10 NovemberIsolated showers in the south contracting to the coast then clearing from the west. Fine across the north.
