Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 4/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is expected to reach the western border around midnight Sunday, and a line Lameroo to Coober Pedy late Monday evening and weaken into a trough of low pressure near Marree to Oodnadatta on Tuesday, moving to the northeast corner of the State on Wednesday. A deep low will move southeastwards well south of the State during late Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms about western and central districts, tending scattered and squally in the far west. Areas of raised dust in the west. Warm near southern coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north and west. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, tending light moderate southwest to southeast in the south.Monday 5 NovemberHot to very hot with fresh to strong northerly winds, ahead of a cooler fresh west to southwest change near the western border around midnight, reaching a line Adelaide to Ernabella late afternoon and Lameroo to Coober Pedy late evening. Isolated showers and thunderstorms, tending scattered and squally during the day ahead of the change and clearing later west of the change.Tuesday 6 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern districts, contracting northeastwards and tending scattered during the day. Hot to very hot over the Northeast Pastoral with mainly moderate northerly winds, shifting mild to warm southerly elsewhere. Generally mild to warm over the remainder with mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 7 NovemberScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms northeast of Renmark to Ernabella contracting northeastwards. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, more likely about southern coasts. Mild to warm, tending hot in the far northeast with mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds,Thursday 8 NovemberScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the far northeast. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm in the west with local falls of 10 to 20 mm with thunderstorms. 10 to 20 mm elsewhere with local falls of 20 to 30 mm with thunderstorms.Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and isolated clearing showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast on Friday.
