MELBOURNE - Nov 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is drifting eastwards and will be centred near New Zealand late Monday. A low pressure trough will enter western Victoria late on Monday and will move slowly across the State on Tuesday. The trough will remain over eastern districts on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayLocal early morning fog over Gippsland, otherwise a dry and mostly sunny day apart from some areas of high cloud. A warm to hot day inland with moderate northerly winds, milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Fire Danger - Generally Moderate to High.Monday 5 NovemberBecoming cloudy with isolated showers developing from the west and extending to the east later. Isolated late thunderstorms in the far west. Generally warm with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds and afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland Coast.Tuesday 6 NovemberRain and isolated thunderstorms extending eastwards to most districts, clearing from the west later. Some possible heavy falls developing about the northeast. A warm day with moderate to fresh northerly winds in the east, tending light to moderate northwest to southwesterly in the west.Wednesday 7 NovemberRain and isolated thunderstorms in the east with possible heavy falls. Rain areas clearing from central districts by the evening. Fine elsewhere apart from isolated showers about the southwest coast. A cool to mild day, warmer in the northwest.
