Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing north to northeasterly winds across New South Wales. This high is expected to remain slow-moving through the first half of next week, directing progressively warmer more humid and increasing northerly winds over New South Wales as a trough approaches from the west. The trough and an associated cold front currently appear likely to move slowly eastwards through the state from Tuesday to Thursday, with showers and thunderstorms developing across most districts.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the northeast, with the chance of thunderstorms about the northern ranges. Isolated afternoon showers on the eastern slopes of the southern and central ranges, and the chance of an early shower along the central coastal fringe. Fine elsewhere. Chiefly northeast to northwesterly winds.Monday 5 NovemberIsolated early showers in the far northeast. Cloud increasing with late showers and isolated thunderstorms possible in the southwest. Fine elsewhere. Warm to very hot northwest to northeasterly winds, freshening along the coast and in the west.Tuesday 6 NovemberShowers and isolated thunderstorms developing across the south and west of the state, most widespread over the far southwest. Mostly fine in the northeast, just the chance of isolated afternoon showers on the northern ranges. Warm to very hot and humid northeast to northwest winds, tending drier southerly in the far southwest.Wednesday 7 NovemberShowers and isolated thunderstorms across most of the state, most widespread over southern and western districts.
