Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred south of the Bight will continue to move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea for the weekend. A trough of low pressure will move across the State on Monday and into the northeast corner on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the Northwest Pastoral and Western Agricultural districts, increasing to scattered showers at times west of Ceduna. Mild with moderate southeasterly winds, shifting northeasterly in the west.Saturday 3 NovemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms about the coasts with the chance of isolated thundery showers about the remainder of the agricultural area and West Coast district, all contracting eastwards to clear from the west by midday then clearing from central and eastern districts during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds shifting southwest to southerly in the west.Sunday 4 NovemberFine initially, then isolated thundery showers developing in the west during the afternoon. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the far north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds freshening in the west.Monday 5 NovemberHot to very hot with fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a westerly change. Thundery showers extending eastwards across the State, more likely closer to the change, then clearing in the west later in the day. The cooler westerly change will move over western districts during the afternoon and central districts during the evening.Tuesday 6 NovemberHot in the northeast with thundery showers contracting to the Northeast Pastoral district during the day. Cooler southwest to southerly winds extending over remaining districts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be highly variable due to the dynamic and unstable conditions expected early next week. General falls of up to 5 mm are possible with isolated falls of up to 20 mm associated with thunderstorms.Wednesday until FridayIsolated thundery showers contracting to the far northeast and clearing. Isolated showers about southern coasts easing and clearing to the southeast by the end of the week. Generally mild with southerly winds extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
