MELBOURNE - Nov 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred southwest of the Bight will continue to move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea by the weekend. A trough of low pressure will move across the State on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayThe chance of isolated showers about the Lower South East coast early morning. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing over the Northwest Pastoral and Western Agricultural districts by the end of the day, increasing to scattered showers at times west of Ceduna. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, shifting northeasterly in the west during the day.Saturday 3 NovemberIsolated showers about the coasts with the chance of isolated showers about the remainder of the agricultural area and West Coast district, contracting east and clearing during the day. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds shifting southwest to southerly in the west.Sunday 4 NovemberFine initially, then the chance of isolated thundery showers developing in the west during the afternoon. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the far north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds freshening in the west.Monday 5 NovemberHot to very hot with freshening northerly winds. Isolated thundery showers extending eastwards across the State, before clearing from western parts later in the day. A cooler westerly change extending over western and central districts during the afternoon and evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning until midnight Monday are expected to be up to 5 mm with possible isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm over southern agricultural areas and with thunderstorms.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated thundery showers will gradually contract to the far northeast by the end of the period.
