Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 1/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex frontal system is moving through southeastern New South Wales. The front will reach the far northeast of the state early Friday and a high pressure system will moves Tasmania extending a ridge to the north coast. The high will move over the southern Tasman Sea on Saturday and then it will move slowly east maintaining a ridge to the north-northwest. Another trough/front system is expected to cross the state during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPartly cloudy in the west and in the far northeast. The chance of showers or thunderstorms elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds, turning milder south to southwesterly in the west and southeast.Friday 2 NovemberIsolated showers and the chance of an early thunderstorm in the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Very High in the Northern Slopes.Saturday 3 NovemberIsolated coastal showers. Partly cloudy remainder. Southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 4 NovemberIsolated showers in the northeast and the chance of thunderstorms on the western slopes of the northern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Light and variable winds tending moderate northeasterly along the coast.Monday 5 NovemberIsolated showers in the northeast and the chance of afternoon showers on the south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Friday.Product IDN10031
