Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near a line Tarcoola to Renmark, will move northeastwards to reach Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek late Wednesday evening and Moomba Thursday morning. A front will move over the South East district early Thursday morning as a high moves across from the west to be centred south of the Bight on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and patchy light rain over the agricultural area, West Coast and southern Pastoral districts. The chance of isolated thunderstorms over Northwest Pastoral. Areas of raised dust in the Northwest Pastoral district. Moderate northerly winds in the northeast and moderate to fresh southerly over the remainder.Thursday 1 NovemberPatchy light early rain east of the ranges. Isolated showers southeast of Woomera, contracting to the Lower South East coast during the day. Possible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the west of Coober Pedy, mainly early in the morning and in the afternoon. Cool near southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds strong at first about southern coasts, tending northeasterly in the far northeast early morning.Friday 2 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers about the Lower South east coast early morning. The chance of isolated showers over the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, shifting northeasterly in the west during the day.Saturday 3 NovemberIsolated showers about the coasts with the chance of isolated showers about the remainder of the agricultural area and southern Northwest Pastoral district contracting east and clearing during the day. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds shifting southwest to southerly in the west.Sunday 4 NovemberFine initially with the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing in the west during the afternoon. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming northerly and freshening in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 2 mm with possible isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm in the far west and east of the ranges. Isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm are also possible with thunderstorms.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers extending across the state from the west, with possible isolated thunderstorms over the pastoral districts clearing from the west by late Monday and contracting to the far northeast late on Tuesday before clearing early Wednesday morning. Isolated showers developing about the southern agricultural area on Wednesday. Hot to very hot at first with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of milder southwesterly change in the west on Monday extending throughout during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
