Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near a line Tarcoola to Kingscote, will move northeastwards to reach Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek late Wednesday evening and Moomba Thursday morning. A front will move over the South East district early Thursday morning, then a high will ridge in south of the Bight late on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayHot with moderate to fresh northerly winds in the north ahead of a cooler, fresh and gusty southerly change in the southwest, extending northeastwards to reach Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek late evening. Isolated showers in the southwest, extending northeast to a line Woomera to Renmark late evening. The chance of isolated thunderstorms about western and southern coasts early morning and over the west of the Northwest Pastoral in the evening. Areas of raised dust with the change in the Northwest Pastoral district during the afternoon and evening.Thursday 1 NovemberIsolated showers south of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, contracting to the Pastoral Districts and the South East during the day. Possible isolated thunderstorms north of about Ceduna to Renmark. Cool near southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds strong at first about southern coasts, tending northeasterly in the far northeast early morning.Friday 2 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers about southern coasts early morning. The chance of isolated showers developing over the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, shifting northeasterly in the west during the day.Saturday 3 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers about the agricultural area and Northeast Pastoral district contracting east during the day. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds shifting southwest to southerly from the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm, with possible isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm. Less than 2 mm is expected northeast of a line Renmark to Tarcoola.Sunday until TuesdayFine initially with the chance of isolated showers in the northeast on Monday and in the south and east on Tuesday. Warm to hot. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, freshening northerly winds extending from the west on Sunday , then shifting southwesterly from the west during Monday and Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
