Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 30/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near Ceduna will continue to move slowly northeastwards to be near a line Tarcoola to Kingscote late Tuesday evening, Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek late Wednesday evening and near Moomba Thursday morning. A front will clip the South East early Thursday morning, before a high will ridge in south of the Bight late on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayHot with freshening northerly winds ahead of a cooler, freshening southwest to southerly change near Ceduna, gradually extending eastwards to a line near Tarcoola to Kingscote late evening. Areas of raised dust near and ahead of the change in the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts. Isolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing west of the change.Wednesday 31 OctoberHot with moderate to fresh northerly winds in the north ahead of the cooler, fresh and gusty southerly change extending northeastwards to reach Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek late evening. Isolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms southwest of a line Coober Pedy to Port Augusta to Lameroo. Areas of raised dust in the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts during the afternoon.Thursday 1 NovemberCool near southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Isolated showers south of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, contracting to the Pastoral Districts and the South East during the day. Possible isolated thunderstorms north of about Ceduna to Renmark. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds, northeasterly in the far northeast early morning.Friday 2 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers about southern coasts early morning. The chance of isolated showers developing over the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts. Generally moderate south to southeasterly winds, shifting northeasterly in the west during the day. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west.Saturday 3 NovemberThe chance of isolated showers about the agricultural area and Northeast Pastoral district contracting east during the day. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds shifting southwest to southerly from the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be generally 2 to 5 mm, with possible isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm.Sunday until TuesdayFine initially with the chance of isolated showers in the northeast on Monday and in the south and east on Tuesday. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, freshening northerly winds extending from the west on Sunday , then shifting southwesterly from the west during Monday and Tuesday.
