MELBOURNE - Oct 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the western Tasman Sea is moving slowly east-southeast maintaining a ridge to northeastern New South Wales. During Wednesday and Thursday a cold front will move through the state as the high weakens near New Zealand. In a wake of the front a broad low pressure trough is expected to develop across the state. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the northwest with the chance of thunderstorms. Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 30 OctoberIsolated showers across the north, more likely near the Queensland border with the chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Chiefly northeast to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 31 OctoberPossible showers in the northeast, and across the southern border regions later in the day. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening across the south ahead of a late southerly change.Thursday 1 NovemberIsolated showers in the east, with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Possible early showers across the southern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
