MELBOURNE - Oct 27/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over Bight waters will move eastwards across Bass Strait on Sunday to be located over the Tasman Sea on Monday. On Tuesday a low pressure trough will approach from the west and will reach southwestern Victoria late in the day then slowly extend eastwards across the State on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers possible near the coast. Generally cloudy in the south and clear in the north. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southerly wind, fresh on the Gippsland coast.Sunday 28 OctoberFine apart from the chance of showers near the Central and Gippsland coast early in the morning. Cool to mild and partly cloudy in the south but warmer and mostly sunny in the north. Generally light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 29 OctoberFine apart from morning fog patches. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light winds and afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Tuesday 30 OctoberFine. A warm to very warm and mostly sunny day with a moderate to fresh north to northwesterly wind ahead of a late milder southwesterly change in the southwest.Wednesday 31 OctoberIsolated showers extending from the west.
