Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is crossing the southern Tasman Sea and a high pressure system is moving towards Tasmania extending a ridge behind the front. The high will move over the southern Tasman Sea later on Sunday and a weak low pressure trough will develop over the northern parts of the state. The next cold frontal is expected to move through the state during Wednesday and Thursday as the high moves towards New Zealand and weakens.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers on the north coast and the far norther ranges ranges. The chance of afternoon thunderstorms near the far northeastern Queensland border. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh near the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High: Northwest Slopes and Plains.Sunday 28 OctoberFine apart from the chance of showers along the northern coast. Partly cloudy near the coast, and sunny inland. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Monday 29 OctoberIsolated showers developing across the north, more likely near Queensland border. Fine and partly cloudy in the south. East to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 30 OctoberShowers in the northeast, and possibly over the southern ranges. Fine elsewhere.
