Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred east of Tasmania extending a ridge across New South Wales. The high will continue to move over the the southern Tasman Sea during Tuesday and Wednesday maintaining the ridge to the northeast. The next cold front is expected to move through the state on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers near the northern half of the coast clearing from the south. Mostly sunny remainder. Early frosts and fog patches on the southern ranges and slopes. Southeast to northeast winds, fresh on the northern coast.Wednesday 24 OctoberMostly sunny throughout. North to northeasterly winds.Thursday 25 OctoberIsolated showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny in the north and locally hot. partly cloudy in the south. Northwest to northeast winds winds turning cooler south st southwesterly in the west and southeast.Friday 26 OctoberThe chance showers on the south and central coasts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDN10031
