MELBOURNE - Oct 21/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front from the Southern Ocean is expected to pass over New South Wales during Monday, ahead of a high pressure system to be established over the state by Tuesday. This high will produce fine weather and warm northerly winds over most of the state through until later in the week. Forecast for the rest of MondayShowers along the southern coast and ranges, extending to the north during the day. Possible thunder along the coastal fringe. Isolated snow showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny further west. Rather cool day in the southeast. Fresh southwest to southerly winds extending throughout, strong along the coast.Fire Danger - Very High on the Far North Coast, New England, Northern Slopes and Northwestern.Tuesday 23 OctoberIsolated showers along the central and northern coast and ranges, contracting north during the morning. Mostly sunny remainder. Early frosts and fog patches on the southern ranges and slopes. Southeast to northeast winds, fresh on the northern coast.Wednesday 24 OctoberFine. Warm to hot north to northeasterly winds.Thursday 25 OctoberIsolated showers on the Alps. Fine remainder.
