Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1025 hPa south of the Bight will move eastwards across Bass Strait on Monday. A front will reach the western border area early Tuesday, then progress across the State during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated light morning showers about the Lower South East coast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Renmark to Tarcoola, contracting northwards to the far north in the evening. Cool in the south grading to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout.Monday 22 OctoberFine with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north.Tuesday 23 OctoberHot with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder, fresh southwesterly change with isolated showers and possible thunder extending into the west of the State.Wednesday 24 OctoberIsolated showers and possible thunder extending from western districts over the agricultural area. Hot in the north and east with mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds, ahead of a milder, fresh southwest to southeasterly change extending from the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area and West Coast district.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers throughout early Thursday, contracting to southern coasts and the far north in the afternoon. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area on Friday and Saturday. A milder, fresh southwest to southerly change throughout early Thursday. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north on Friday and Saturday, with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
