Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front from the Southern Ocean is expected to pass over New South Wales during Sunday and Monday, ahead of a high pressure system to be established over the state by Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far southwest this evening. Fresh northwest to northeast winds in the northeast. Southwest to southeast winds over the remainder.Sunday 21 OctoberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the southwest, contracting northeastwards during the day while clearing from the southwest. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Very High over the coastal districts, and in the northeast.Monday 22 OctoberScattered showers along the southern coast and eastern ranges, extending to the north during the day, with possible thunder. Isolated showers about the southern ranges and south western slopes above 900 metres. Mostly sunny further west. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Tuesday 23 OctoberIsolated showers along the central and northern coast and ranges, contracting north during the day. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds, fresh on the northern coast.Wednesday 24 OctoberChance of some showers in the far southwest. Fine elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds, with a late south to southwesterly change in the far southwest.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Sunday.Product IDN10031
