Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will approach southwestern Victoria later today before moving through the State during Saturday night and Sunday morning. The next high pressure system will move quickly eastwards on Monday and will reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers about the coast this morning. Morning fog patches. Isolated showers developing in the west during the late afternoon and evening before extending to central areas at night. Mild to warm with a light to moderate west to southwesterly freshening along the coast later.Sunday 21 OctoberIsolated showers in the north clearing during the early morning. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, becoming scattered about the West Gippsland coast. Moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds, strong at times near the coast. Cool in the south, milder in the north.Monday 22 OctoberIsolated showers in the south contracting to the east during the afternoon and clearing during the evening. Showers more widespread over East Gippsland at first with the chance of thunderstorms and local hail. Cool in the south, mild in the north with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 23 OctoberMostly sunny. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northerly winds with afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
