Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea is weakening, allowing a broad trough of low pressure to move into New South Wales. The trough will cross the central and northeastern districts today, shower activity will be minimal due to the dryness of the atmosphere. A cold front from the Southern Ocean is expected to pass over New South Wales during Sunday and Monday, ahead of a high pressure system to be established over the state by Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine and mostly sunny until isolated showers or thunderstorms develop in the far southwest in the evening. Very warm to hot day in the north. Fresh northwest to northeast winds in the northeast. Southwest to southeast winds developing through the remainder.Fire Danger -  Severe:North Coast,Northern Tablelands,Hunter,Northwest Slopes. Very high:remainder northeast third.Sunday 21 OctoberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the south, extending throughout during the day and clearing from the south. Showers less likely in the far west. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.Monday 22 OctoberScattered showers southern and central coast and eastern ranges, extending to the north, with possible thunder. Isolated showers about the ranges and western slopes. Mostly sunny further west. Snow on the Alps. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Tuesday 23 OctoberIsolated showers along the coast and ranges contracting north,c Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds, fresh on the northern coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday.Product IDN10031
