Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move eastwards to be near southwestern Victoria tonight. The high will move eastwards to the Tasman Sea on Thursday as a low pressure system develops over South Australia. The low will move to the north of Victoria during Friday. A cold front will approach southwestern Victoria later on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayLocal early frost inland. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast, clearing by early afternoon. Dry and mostly sunny north of the divide. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh about the coast.Thursday 18 OctoberFine. Some high level cloud. Mild day in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light winds inland, moderate afternoon seabreezes developing.Friday 19 OctoberFine. Some high level cloud contracting eastwards. Warm inland with light winds. Milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Saturday 20 OctoberFine until isolated showers develop in the far southwest at night. Mild to warm with a light to moderate west to southwesterly freshening along the coast later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDV10310
