MELBOURNE - Oct 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Bight will move steadily eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A weak trough will move across the west and north of the State on Thursday and Friday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated early morning fog patches over the agricultural areas. Possible isolated morning showers over the Lower South East, fine over the remainder. Cool to mild grading to hot in the north with moderate southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 18 OctoberFine apart from the chance of light showers about parts of the western and southern coasts. Mild to warm grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds freshening in the west, shifting southerly about coastal districts during the day.Friday 19 OctoberFine apart from possible afternoon and early evening thundery showers in the north. Mild to warm in the south and generally hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout.Saturday 20 OctoberFine apart from possible afternoon and early evening thundery showers in the north. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west with mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday until midnight Saturday are expected to be generally up to 2 mm with possible local falls of 2 to 5 mm.Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated morning showers about the Lower South East on Sunday and developing over coastal areas during Tuesday.
