Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high to the north of Adelaide will slowly move east over the next few days to be over the Tasman Sea Sunday evening. A low pressure trough will cross the west of the State on Sunday and move slowly northeastwards to reach a line Marree to Oodnadatta late Tuesday evening. A cold front will cross southern coasts Tuesday evening.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending moderate northerly in the west.Sunday 14 OctoberEarly fog and light frost patches in the Lower South East, then a mostly sunny day. Possible isolated thundery showers in the far west during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm tending hot in the north and west. Moderate northerly winds, fresh in the west, shifting southerly in the far west.Monday 15 OctoberEarly fog patches about the west coast, otherwise fine. Mild to warm, grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder southerly across western and southern parts.Tuesday 16 OctoberIsolated light showers from mid level cloud over the agricultural areas and the southern pastorals contracting east and clearing by evening. Isolated showers developing across southern coastal districts, increasing to scattered over the Lower South East in the afternoon and evening. Hot in the northeast with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, turning milder southwest to southerly over the remainder, strong at times about southern coasts.Wednesday 17 OctoberIsolated morning showers over the Lower South East. Cool to mild grading to hot in the north with moderate southeast to easterly winds tending southwesterly in the southeast. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East and up to 2 mm elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayPossible isolated showers developing about southern coasts late Saturday afternoon, otherwise fine. Mild to warm grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds freshening in the west and turning northwesterly on Thursday ahead of a southerly change extending inland during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
