Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

A deep low pressure system over the central Tasman Sea extends a trough to the north, while a high south of Adelaide strengthens a ridge across NSW. A southerly airstream between these systems is expected to ease tonight as the low moves rapidly away to the east. The high is expected to become the dominant feature in the region during Monday, decaying Tuesday/Wednesday as a broad trough develops. The next significant frontal system appears likely to affect the state during the second half of the week.
