MELBOURNE - Oct 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure extends across northwestern to southeastern New South Wales is deepening and a low is forming within it over the southeast. The low will move off the south coast later today and deepen further before moving rapidly east on Sunday but a weak broad trough will remain across the eastern and central parts of the state. The trough is expected to deepen again during Tuesday and another low is expected to form over the southeast on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayShowers in the southern and central parts with rain ares in the southeast. The chance of thunderstorms in the southeast. Partly cloudy in the north. Southwest to northwesterly winds becoming fresh and gusty near the coast in the evening. Dangerous surf conditions , hazardous for coastal activities such as swimming, boating and rock fishing developing in the evening.Fire Danger - Very High in the Northern Rivers and North West Slopes and Plains.Sunday 7 OctoberIsolated showers on the half of the coasts, clearing early in the morning. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwest winds. Dangerous surf conditions, hazardous for coastal activities such as swimming, boating and rock fishing.Monday 8 OctoberIsolated showers along the coast and the adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny in the west. Light winds.Tuesday 9 OctoberIsolated showers along the coast and the adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny in the west.
