Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 1/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system to the south of Kangaroo Island will move slowly east to be over New South Wales Tuesday evening. A low pressure trough is expected to develop about the western border late Wednesday evening, moving eastwards across the south of the State on Thursday, to reach the far northeast on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine. Partly cloudy about the Lower South East, clear elsewhere. Mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending easterly in the west.Tuesday 2 OctoberPossible early morning fog patches about the agricultural area, otherwise fine and sunny. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 3 OctoberFine and sunny. Warm to hot with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west.Thursday 4 OctoberFine and mostly sunny day. Isolated showers developing about the Lower South East Coast in the evening. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds ahead of a milder southwesterly change in the far west, extending across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts during the afternoon and evening.Friday 5 OctoberIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Isolated showers possible about remaining coastal parts and over the West Coast and Eyre Peninsula. Hot in the far northeast with light northerly winds. Mild to warm elsewhere with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday evening until midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East on Saturday, possible across remaining parts of the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Fine and partly cloudy on Sunday and Monday. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north, with chiefly moderate southeast to northeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
