Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 30/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will drift slowly eastwards, crossing northern Victoria on Tuesday. The high will move away to the northeast on Wednesday. The next cold front will reach far southwest Victoria late Thursday morning and will cross the remainder of the State Thursday afternoon and evening.
Forecast for the rest of MondayLocal morning fog and frosts patches inland. Isolated showers or drizzle patches in the south, mostly clearing during the afternoon. Fine and partly cloudy over the north. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Tuesday 2 OctoberLocal morning fog and frosts inland. Fine and mainly sunny throughout apart from isolated morning showers clearing from the exposed parts of the Gippsland coasts. Generally mild with light westerly winds and local afternoon coastal seabreezes.Wednesday 3 OctoberA mild to warm and mainly sunny day throughout. Light to moderate west to northwest winds and local afternoon seabreezes about the Gippsland coast.Thursday 4 OctoberCloud increasing in the west and south with isolated showers developing in the southwest during the day. Remaining mainly sunny in the north and east. Warm with moderate to fresh northwest winds, strengthening ahead of a milder westerly change later in the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDV10310
