Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong cold front and a rain band will move through northeastern New South Wales today. On Sunday a high pressure system will move towards the Bight strengthening a ridge across the state. The ridge will weaken during Wednesday and Thursday as the high moves east across the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayRain in the east with the chance of thunderstorms contracting to the northeast. Isolated showers in the south falling as snow on the Alps. Mostly sunny in the far west, becoming sunny over the central parts. Northwest to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the east.Sunday 30 SeptemberClearing showers on the Alps and isolated showers on the far north coast. mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 1 OctoberThe chance of showers on the north coast and in the far southeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 2 OctoberIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
