Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system to the south of the State will move slowly eastwards overnight and on Saturday as a high pressure system becomes established over the Bight on Sunday. This high will move slowly eastwards during the following few days.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered squally showers over the southern agricultural area with possible small hail. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area. Isolated thunderstorms over the southern coasts and Lower South East. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast of the State. Cool to mild with fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds.Saturday 29 SeptemberScattered showers and possible small hail over central and southeast districts, contracting to the Lower South East during the morning and easing by early afternoon. Isolated showers south of about Leigh Creek otherwise, contracting to the southern agricultural area late afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms about the Lower South East during the morning. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast during the morning. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds easing late afternoon and evening.Sunday 30 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 1 OctoberEarly morning fog patches about the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers about the Lower South East and the coasts of the Upper South East, clearing during the afternoon. Mild to warn with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending easterly in the west.Tuesday 2 OctoberEarly morning fog patches in the southeast, otherwise fine and clear. Mild to warm with light to moderate east to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the northern agricultural area and pastorals, increasing to 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and to 10 to 20 mm over the southern coasts and ranges.Wednesday until FridayFine and warm to hot ahead of a milder change extending from the southwest on Friday. Possible isolated showers developing over the agricultural area with the change.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
