Weather Situation A high pressure system strengthens over the western Tasman Sea, while a deep low pressure trough approaches South Australia. This trough, and its associated cold front, will move through the state on Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers along the central and northern coasts and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds, tending light and variable across most of the south.Wednesday 26 SeptemberIsolated showers on the far north coast, clearing. Isolated showers developing in the far southwest late in the day. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 27 SeptemberCloud increasing with isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over the far south. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, strengthening in the south.Friday 28 SeptemberShowers and storms extending throughout the west and south, but remaining fine in the far northeast. Gusty northeast to northwesterly winds, strengthening in the south.Saturday 29 SeptemberRain contracting to the northeast during the morning. Isolated showers continuing on the western slopes of the ranges, and developing during the afternoon over the southern inland. Isolated thunderstorms in the far northeast and over the southern inland.
