Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 23/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving across northeastern New South Wales and weakening and high pressure system south of the Bight is extending a ridge behind the front. The high is moving slowly east and by Wednesday it will be centred over the Tasman Sea. Another cold front is expected to move through the state during Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the northeastern inland contracting to the north coast and ranges by the afternoon. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Very High in the Northern Rivers district.Tuesday 25 SeptemberThe chance of showers along the central and northern coasts and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds, tending light and variable across most of the south.Wednesday 26 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the far northeast and in the far southwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 27 SeptemberIsolated showers developing over the southern and western inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
