MELBOURNE - Sep 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front will move across western and southeastern parts of New South Wales today before weakening over the northeast on Monday as a high pressure system south of the Bight strengthens a ridge behind the front. The high will move over the Tasman Sea by Wednesday and then it will move slowly east maintaining the ridge to the northeast of the state. The next cold front is expected during Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine and mostly sunny. Warm northeast to northwesterly winds, turning cooler west to southwesterly in the west and southeast.Monday 24 SeptemberIsolated showers along the northern coast, with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds extending throughout.Tuesday 25 SeptemberIsolated showers along the central and northern coasts, and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds, tending light and variable across most of the south.Wednesday 26 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the far northeast and southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
