MELBOURNE - Sep 21/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front with an associated low to the south will move across southern and northwestern New South Wales during Sunday before weakening over the northeast on Monday as a high pressure system moves towards the Bight extending a ridge to the east. The high will move over the Tasman Sea on Monday and then it will move slowly east maintaining the ridge to the northeast. The next front is expected to move through the state during Friday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers on the central coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds in the east, light and variable winds in the west.Sunday 23 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southeastern inland. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the central and north western slopes and plains. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds turning southwesterly in the west and southeast.Monday 24 SeptemberIsolated showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms along the north coast. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southwest winds extending throughout.Tuesday 25 SeptemberIsolated showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
