Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies over New South Wales. This trough will deepen during Friday as it moves to the Tasman Sea. A weak high is expected to drift overhead on Saturday before the next cold front sweeps across the state on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the southeast, tending scattered near the coast. The chance of light showers developing across the western inland. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. South to southeasterly winds in the south, and northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Thursday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers on the western slopes and ranges, possibly extending to the south coast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds in the south, northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Friday 21 SeptemberIsolated showers in the southeast and the chance of showers in the northern inland. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Mainly southeast to southwesterly winds.Saturday 22 SeptemberFine apart from isolated showers in the southeast and parts of the coastal fringe in the north. Mostly sunny. Southwest to southeast winds tending light and variable inland.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDN10031
