Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad trough of low pressure over New South Wales, assisted by the presence of a transient upper-level system, is generating unsettled conditions across much of the state today. This trough is expected to remain in the region during the next few days, before moving to the Tasman Sea on Friday. Following this, a cold front is forecast to cross the state on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine in the northwest. Showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere, increasing about the ranges and slopes in the afternoon, and clearing from the southwest by evening. Early fog patches in the east. Northwest to northeast winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Wednesday 19 SeptemberIsolated showers in the west and southeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds in the south, and northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Thursday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east. Fine and partly cloudy in the west. South to southeasterly winds in the south, northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Friday 21 SeptemberFine and partly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered in the southeast. Mainly southeast to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
