Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 17/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure centre lies over the Tasman Sea while a low pressure trough deepens over the state. This trough will remain in the region for most of the week, creating unstable conditions, and showers and storms over parts of NSW through until the weekend, chiefly in the east.
Forecast for the rest of MondayShowers in the south and east, most widespread in the northeast where there is also the chance of some thunderstorms. Fine in the northwest. Southeast to northeasterly winds, freshening along the coast later.Tuesday 18 SeptemberShowers in the south and east, most widespread in the east where there is also the chance of some thunderstorms. Fine in the northwest. Mainly northwest to northeast winds, fresh along the coast.Wednesday 19 SeptemberIsolated showers in the west and the southeast. Fine in the northeast. South to southeasterly winds in the south, northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Thursday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east.
