Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure centre over New South Wales will move east into the Tasman Sea over the next 24 hours as a low pressure trough deepens over the west of the state. This trough will remain in the region for most of the week, creating unstable conditions, showers and storms over much of NSW through until the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers in the far southwest. Isolated showers along the far northern coast and ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds inland, tending southeast to northeasterly near the coast. A late southerly change on the far south coast.Monday 17 SeptemberShowers in the south and east, most widespread in the northeast where there is also the chance of some thunderstorms. Fine in the northwest. Southeast to northeasterly winds, freshening along the coast later.Tuesday 18 SeptemberShowers in the south and east, most widespread in the east where there is also the chance of some thunderstorms. Fine in the northwest. Mainly northwest to northeast winds, fresh along the coast.Wednesday 19 SeptemberIsolated showers in the west and the southeast. Fine in the northeast. South to southeasterly winds in the south, northwest to northeasterly winds in the north.Thursday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east.
