Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will move eastwards across Victoria today, then remain in the vicinity as a weak front crosses Bass Strait on Sunday. The next high pressure system will pass just south of Victoria on Monday to reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fog patches inland. Patchy drizzle in the south and west this morning, then isolated showers in the far west this afternoon and evening. An otherwise fine and cool to mild day, mostly cloudy in the west and mostly sunny in the northeast. Generally light winds.Sunday 16 SeptemberAreas of morning fog and isolated frost patches in the northeast. Cloud increasing from the west with isolated showers in the far southwest, extending to remaining western and central areas during the afternoon. Remaining fine in the far east. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds extending throughout.Monday 17 SeptemberPartly cloudy with isolated showers about the eastern ranges and the southwest, extending to most districts during the afternoon. A mild day with light south to southeast winds and freshening afternoon seabreezes.Tuesday 18 SeptemberIsolated showers extending throughout and becoming more frequent over central and eastern areas during the afternoon. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the east and about the ranges. Mild with light to moderate east to northeast winds and freshening afternoon seabreezes near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
