Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over South Australia will move over the eastern states during Saturday. Another high will move in well south of the Bight during Sunday. A trough of low pressure is expected to move over the far west of the State on Tuesday, then extend slowly eastwards on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Early morning frost patches on the Flinders Ranges. Possible isolated light showers over Lower Eyre Peninsula and about southern coasts, contracting to far southern coasts by evening. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Light and variable winds, tending moderate northeasterly in the far west.Sunday 16 SeptemberMorning fog patches over the agricultural area. Isolated showers on and east of the Mt Lofty Ranges with possible isolated showers over remaining parts southeast of about Broken Hill to Pt Lincoln, contracting to southern coasts by evening. Cool in the southeast, grading to warm in the north and west. Light and variable winds, tending moderate southwest to southeasterly in the afternoon.Monday 17 SeptemberMorning fog patches over the agricultural area. Possible isolated showers over the east of the agricultural area and the remainder of southern coasts and ranges. Cool in the southeast, grading to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 18 SeptemberAreas of cloud and isolated light showers extending over the west Coast district and Lower Eyre Peninsula during the day. Possible isolated showers over eastern districts south of about Renmark, mainly in the afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in north and west. Light to moderate northeasterly winds ahead of milder southwesterly change in the far west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, but isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm are possible over eastern agricultural districts.Wednesday until FridayThe trough will move across the remainder of the state during Wednesday and Thursday. Isolated showers are expected over the agricultural areas and West Coast district, contracted to the southern coast during Friday. Cool in the south grading to warm in the north with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southerly change in the west, extending throughout on Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
